Re: [vpFREE] Pickpockets

Seems like Caesars Security could care less about its patrons! They are rent a cops and don't make much. I stopped going there awhile ago for other reasons! Sent from my iPad

[vpFREE] New Station/Fiesta Senior Program

Details of the new Station/Fiesta senior program are now on their website:

https://www.sclv.com/Gaming/MyGeneration.aspx

----- Original Message -----
From: savorvpx

I noticed that the Senior program is changing starting in January. Now called "My Generation Wednesdays". The January benefits are

half point dining in cafes and steakhouses
hot seat slots
free Starbucks
bingo bonus
Mexican specials
$4 movie matinees
half point bowling
free slot tournaments

Previously senior Wednesdays included half point dining at the buffets. Apparently they are not offering this - at least in January.

Just FYI, the CET Win/Loss statements are available online for 2014.

Dave

Thanks...just printed today and at first glance my wife's summary has 3 errors that she can see.
She played at 11 different properties and only at one shows a win; she had documented a win at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and the report has a loss of 2 dollars. She had a larger win at Harrah's So. Cal. than on the report, and at NOLA the total amount she won was reported as a loss. She has to still recalculate the individual loss
at the other 8 properties, but It looks like the total recap is off by about $1,000.00 in losses

Re: [vpFREE] My Jackpot Royal Flush

The main thing is that you got paid properly. there are some casinos that would try to stiff you.

I was playing 25 cent BP Progressive at the Sip Lounge at Green Valley Ranch a little before 5pm today while having a Bloody Mary and smoking a cigar. My plan was to finish the drink and cigar and go play Bingo. A few minutes before 5, I got dealt J, A, 10, 9, K of clubs. Tossing the 9, I get the Q to complete the Royal. Then it gets interesting. If you look at the picture, you'll notice that on the paytable it shows "Jackpot" for the payout but the picture shows 4,000 credits on the lower left. The sign by the bar showing the scrolling values for the $1 and Quarter Royals showed $1,409 and change. Before I sat down at the machine, I verified that the machine was part of the progressive bank. When the RF hit, the waitress said someone should be over right away, since, as we all know if we've hit for a large amount before, the machine signals a handpay. Well, no one showed right away and she had to place a phone call. A manager came, and I
explained the situation to him. He put his key in and pushed some buttons to show the original hand and the RF. He called some techs to fix the machine. The manager had to figure how to pay me, so it was suggested that while I'm waiting they print the ticket showing my dollar amount with the base $1000 plus what was in the machine after my bet and I'll get cash for the difference. So the slot attendant there gives me the $410 in cash and the printed ticket from the machine. The manager helping me leaves to get my paperwork to sign. When he comes back, he decides that I should get cash for the whole amount while I plead to let me have the ticket because it's easier to put into another machine. I'm overruled because he said they needed the ticket to show the malfunction. Therefore, he has to go back to the cage to get the additional amount of money. This whole rigamarole took over a half-hour. Yikes!

What makes you think security and surveillance has time to deal with pickpockets? They are too busy chasing down card counters and protecting the casino's bottom line.

[vpFREE] Pickpockets

While I was at Caesar's Palace yesterday someone tried to pick pocket my purse, or steal it. I always put it on my lap in front of me while I gamble, so it is between me and the slot Machine (never hang your purse on the back of your chair anywhere by The way). So the woman really didn't have much of a chance. She tried to distract me by pointing with her arm in front of me telling me to get her slot card from the machine to my left but what she was trying to do was to reach for my purse. But since my purse was so large and pressed up against me and the slot machine there was no way for her to get it. I think she thought it was just a small purse because of the way it looked with just a little bit outfit showing above the machine and she didn't realize that it was a big purse so that she could not grab it. Plus it was zipped up and my money is way down in the purse.

Everyone needs to be extremely vigilant caring their purses and wallets every where they go, and of course especially where there is money such as in a casino. Also always double lock the door of your hotel room. Use extra caution with purses, bags, and wallets. My purse has a shoulder strap and I wear it across my shoulders so that is always in front of me. I recommend that type of purse and ones that have the zippers.

Men should be especially careful with their wallets. A common practice for pickpockets is to try to distract you by telling you that you have mustard or something on your back, or as in this case to distract me by trying to get me to pick up something or do something. In casinos pickpockets used to toss money on the floor to get people to reach down to pick it up.

This was in the highroller room by the way. The security personnel were not too helpful because I immediately hit the service button and someone came but did not seem to realize or care what was going on even though I was yelling at the woman saying that she was trying to still my purse and pointing to her and telling The attendant that the eye in the sky should follow her. She of course was denying it and saying that I was upset because she was trying to move my scooter which I have with me and was parked behind my chair. The fact that I had a scooter and a cane probably made her think I was more susceptible. I don't know whether Caesars security did start following her with the eye in the sky not.

But basically the lesson here is to be vigilant and always be very suspicious of people who talk to you out of the blue and maybe trying to distract you. if what they are saying or doing doesn't make sense that is a definite clue.

Some years ago a team tried to distract me while I was on the walkway out of the Mirage. One woman darted in front of me and took off her shoe (an action which made no sense) while another woman yelled I had some mustard or ketchup on my back, and the third member of the team a man sidled up to me on the left and tried to reach into my purse. I realized what was going on and yelled at them to get away from me and pulled my purse close in where they could not reach it.

So always be on the lookout and always be suspicious.

Have a happy new year.…

[vpFREE] Proper Dress for cruises and elsewhere

Being invited to the Captain's reception should be considered an honor and one shows respect by adhering to a dress code. One does not wear a tuxedo to a rodeo, a tank top to a job interview, a t shirt to a funeral, etc. Dress throughout Las Vegas has deteriorated. I also hardly wear ties any more but I think there are certain times it might be best.

My personal feeling is that men should buy at least a classic navy blue blazer and a dress shirt. This is certainly not uncomfortable and wearing it over a tan, grey, or navy blue slacks gives the appearance of being dressed up but still being comfortable. A dress shirt with or without a tie also adds to the ensemble. Most ladies like to dress up for special occasions and they feel better when their escort is also dressed properly.

[vpFREE] CET Seven Stars

I have been Seven Stars for a couple of years now. In 2014, I only earned about 135,000 Tier Credits, a little short of the 150,000 required to maintain Seven Stars status. I see online that my status has been extended thru March 31, 2016. I had a couple of days in 2014 where I played around $300k - $400k coin in per day. I wonder if there is some sort of unpublished Seven Stars in a day promotion or if management grants discretionary status to some players. Perhaps the website is inaccurate and I'll be demoted to Diamond status on April 1, 2015?
