I have thought that if I were in Vegas I would try to find a loose keno paytable, perhaps in the 94-95% range, maybe a progressive keno that might be 96-97, etc., and earn my sapphire that way, quickly and reasonably cheap EV-wise, rather than grind away forever on a good video poker paytable.  Just a thought.

It is a good question. I have thought of the same thing. In theory it seems you could expect to receive your 11xpoints on the same day Sapphire is reached. In practice their system is so convoluted there is probably a lag time before you are entered in the system correctly.. Probably your only solution is to try it and complain like hell, if they don't give you the points.

How much are you willing to risk on slots to gain Sapphire in a day. what slot machines would you play? I think there used to be some so called 98% payback 3 reel slots, but I don't know if they exist anymore. I am interested because I have thought of doing the same thing, but right now I am continuing with my personal strike against Boyd. not that it would mean anything to them.

Ione is famous for a boys reform school.  Originally it was a "castle" in the 1800s, a brutal history.  Later they built the more modern Preston School of Industry, built for the worst wards of the Youth Authority, sort of an "end of the road" kind of place.  It's closed now, but now there is a modern adult prison, Mule Creek.  So it's a "prison town", with a lot of history.  I think they had a card room or two also.

This new Harrah's casino opened on Monday, April 29 in Ione, California. It's in out in the country a long hour from Sacramento down very winding roads.  You shouldn't attempt this trip without a map or navigation in your car. There is no hotel.

Thanx SO SO much for all the input.  I was very very wrong - I didn't realize that Ruby's can NEVER get any "points" - multiple or not - until they earn 750 tier credits to become the blue Sapphire.

However, I did verify that all players Sapphire and above (whether they get mailers or not) can earn 11x points Sunday through Thursday all of May except on May 28.

Ruby players get NO points at all until they graduate up a tier to Emerald (correction -  that should be Sapphire)...That is why we are SO MAD. I will be surprised, if they do not lose a lot of business. although Stations is just as bad...Goodbye Vegas....no reason to go anymore...
