I have thought that if I were in Vegas I would try to find a loose keno paytable, perhaps in the 94-95% range, maybe a progressive keno that might be 96-97, etc., and earn my sapphire that way, quickly and reasonably cheap EV-wise, rather than grind away forever on a good video poker paytable. Just a thought.

It is a good question. I have thought of the same thing. In theory it seems you could expect to receive your 11xpoints on the same day Sapphire is reached. In practice their system is so convoluted there is probably a lag time before you are entered in the system correctly.. Probably your only solution is to try it and complain like hell, if they don't give you the points.
How much are you willing to risk on slots to gain Sapphire in a day. what slot machines would you play? I think there used to be some so called 98% payback 3 reel slots, but I don't know if they exist anymore. I am interested because I have thought of doing the same thing, but right now I am continuing with my personal strike against Boyd. not that it would mean anything to them.
