Thank you Mikey for that Tuna tidbit. I have heard 10 more just like it from some of his employees that played up at the lake with me.
Did you ever know Tom D & Mike B? And if so do you know what happened to them? They were my favorite Tahoe competitors.
I also had an addition to my earlier defense of the veracity of Micky's posts. A person wanted proof of his stories, and my first thought was, "skepticism", well that's always a good thing. On further thought, I would like to point out something that obviously escaped our skeptic's mind.
Along with being very entertaining, 90% of Mickey's posts include a self deprecating element, that most of us would be ashamed to admit (especially in a public forum); and that's assuming we were intelligent enough, introspective enough, and honest enough (with ourselves) to be aware of them in the first place. Pouring your heart out on your sleeve is not the act of a self ingratiating braggart, who's words need to be questioned.
One of the only pet peeves I have, is to be called a lier, and even though questioning a "story" is not as strong as that, it can still be hurtful...especially to someone who is trying to be extra honest. I can only imagine Micky feels similarly.
I would hate to see vpFREE lose its most entertaining poster, because of a few doubters. Well, that's all I had on that.
Happy New Year.
Oh P.S. At AZ's Canteen during a VP tournament many years ago, a patron sitting next to me said, "what do you do?" I replied, "I'm a professional gambler". His reaction was as bizarre as it was swift. While shouting, "you *&$*^& lier, there's no way to beat the casinos", he punched me in the face. I was uninjured and he was ejected from the bar, but it was a long time before I answered honestly to that particular question again. See where honesty gets you.
