My only current involvement with the vpFREE2 database is as a
moderator for a few casinos. I was the administrator of the former
database for seven years, before the current site owner took over in
2009. I'm going to address your post and copy the vpFREE2 site owner
in case he has something to add.
First, I think the 9/6 DDB at the Horseshoe Tunica definitely should
have been added to the vpFREE2 games list since that would be the best
game there. That casino has a monitor and maybe the monitor did not
know how to show a game like Build a Wheel.
I suggest that in a case like this when you are dissatisfied with how
your update has been handled, that you click on "Contact Us" on
vpFREE2 and let the site owner know about the situation. I'm sure he
would address your concerns as soon as he can.
As far as including 98.98% 9/6 DDB and 98.91% Deuces Wild at all
casinos, vpFREE2 does not list all video poker games, just the best
ones. It's usually better not to list games with low paytables if
there are many better ones available at the same denomination.
But this is a gray area and I can think of many exceptions like
specialty games such as STP and QQ that boost the return above the
base game's return. Also progressives since they are almost always
higher than reset. When I submit an update, I usually just leave it up
to the monitor or site owner to decide which games are playable and
should be included.
I hope no one abandons vpFREE2.com even though some things aren't
being done exactly as we would wish. We all benefit from supporting
the database.
