Don't take offense but did you notice that after all your complaining about the Palms that Golden Nugget doesn't have a single machine under $25 a spin over 99.17%?
Personally I'll take the Palms over GN 100 days out of 100. Hell, I'll take the 4 Queens next door over GN 100 days out of 100.Just got back from three nights in Vegas. We were supposed to stay two nights at the Palms and one night downtown at the GN. When we got there on Monday afternoon as soon as I put my card in it said "Welcome Guest". I thought I'd lost all my points. I went pissed to the Club and saw a sign saying the computers were down and a lady said I still had the points. Well, i started playing and after a while we decided to cash out and go to dinner at the 24/7 cafe. It required a person to come pay us and then she put the machine "Out of Service". I noticed that every time someone was paid they put the machine out of order.
At check in they refused the 50% Pallms coupon so I decided to use it at the cafe on their prime rib. The lady wouldn't take it there either as she said the Prime rib was a special and couldn't be used.
We went back to the FPDW bank and noticed all the machines were OOS. There was nothing to play that was full pay. I went to the room and complained to the Hotel and asked to be comped because all the machines were down.She said no comp would be offered and put me through to gaming and the gaming mgr said there were machines still available. I explained to him what full pay was and he was clueless. I called GN and they said they would extend the rate I had and we chose to check out early. At check out they did take the coupon.
I tried the $20 trick upgrade at checkin at the Palms to no avail.
I think I'm through with the Palms as it seemed no one was concerned about your happiness.
The Red Rock sent me free rooms for December, but so far nothing for Jan when we are coming again.
I hit Dueces once, but never drew on 4 to a Royal and the drought continues since 1995.
