Deutsche Bank was one of the key players in the 2007 Financial Crisis.
Their active participation in enabling the explosion of credit default swaps
(CDS) helped to lead to the popping of the real estate bubble which would
have happened later anyway but the sheet volume of CDS' prompted bailouts
which you & I are paying for. It's ironic justice that they are in this
situation with Cosmopolitan but this bet, even if it went to zero, doesn't even
come close to the pain they've caused.
