Re: [vpFREE] Re: Odds of back to back Aces

Frank's description & question were clear. His wife hit back-to-back quad Aces and he did not say whether they were dealt or not. When identifying hands to other video poker players, that means both were not dealt. And neither did he mean "what were the odds of his wife hitting them like that during her lifetime". His question asked only what the odds are of hitting quad Aces back-to-back.

As someone to whom Aces have meant a LOT during my playing career, I congratulate her for seeing them on consecutive hands. I never have.

Both of the previous answers address back-to-back aces ON THE NEXT TWO HANDS. If you look at the odds of receiving them sometime in your life the number is quite a bit smaller --- perhaps as low as even money for long-term players. Bob

I believe Ernie's answer is for back-to-back dealt aces. Dealt aces have a cycle of 54,145.

She hit 4 Aces on back to back hands. Can anyone tell me what the odds are of that happening?

Frank
