In keeping with all the chatter recently about Revel's new dining credits,
I want to relate a story told to us at check-in when we stayed at the new
mega-resort in AC two weeks ago. A guy who appeared to be the supervisor on
duty engaged us in conversation while we were waiting to get the final OK
from our host about our accommodations in a suite. We mentioned that we
thought it was odd that the Revel did not have a buffet, a VIP Lounge or
special line privileges for its Tier 3 and Tier 4 guests. He then told us about
Revel's plan to provide daily dining credits for its higher-level guests
while plans were being put in motion to provide a VIP Lounge in the very near
future.
"It's just about a certainty that we're going to have one," he told us,
"we're just trying to figure out where to put it. In the meanwhile," he said,
"we will be offering dining credits until it gets done."
He said he didn't think a buffet was in the planning stages but he said
they were aware of comments about their lack of other perks for upper-level
players and they might be doing something soon to alleviate that.
So, it sounds as if the Revel is responding to its guests' concerns and is
taking steps to correct its initial oversights.
