I've rented cars the greater part of my adult life, and have never purchased a penny's worth of any type of insurance offered by any rental car company. If you have a car with insurance (and who doesn't) then you're already covered, plus as the other poster said, your credit card takes very good care of you in the event of an accident. Those coverages they try to sell renters are just fat, and most of the people who purchase them are from another country, seniors intimidated into buying, or people who for some reason currently are not covered.
