I am one of those that you are shaking your head at.
I play slots at times, and enjoy them. I find them mindless and have spent my time, thinking of projects that need to be done, childhood memories, and of loved ones that have passed. So, shake your head all you want, I am having a nice time watching the chicken chase the egg or whatever is on the screen.
Oh, Yeah, I must be a ploppy, I plopped my butt down and hit a $13K Royal last Jan.
