As an out-of-state visitor (3-4 trips/year) I prefer:
(1) Good cashback - same day payments, single (high) rate for everyone.
"Tiered" cashback rates sucks if your're not a local (see Boyd Gaming).
Bounceback sucks if you're not a local.
(2) Notification of upcoming events 4-8 weeks in advance - if a promo is
interesting enough I may book a flight to come down. Best rates for flights
are 4-6 weeks ahead of time. Sending me a February newsletter which
arrives on Jan 29 is pretty much useless.
