The wife and I are from Fort Worth and try to visit our money at least 2x a year to see what it's building. The last time out we were comp'ed at the Rio but could not find anything there to play, the craps tables started at $25, same for blackjack unless you wanted to settle for 6-5. As for VP, 8-5 job was the best we could find.
We did most of our play across the street at the Gold Coast and gave them quite a bit of play but never got any kind of offer. I don't know how much I put thru but I played 9-6 JOB for at least 4 hours each day and crap or BJ for the other 4.
I'm really disappointed with Boyd, maybe they have overextended themselves with all their expansions and need the money. A sure way to lose customers. I'm going to try SP next time out.
