There was literally 4,300 people in front of us (My hustband
counted). Our guess is that they were all comped. This made a bad
show even worse...and it was 3 hours long. By not having the TV
screens on, Diana Ross looked like a little peanut to us.

It might be the most poorly produced show I've ever seen in Las Vegas.

Besides starting late, the cover band played incessantly as acts
were never ready to perform on time. Seal was the best part of the
show, but the view was so poor it was hard to make a connection. I
was within the first 50 rows and still felt detached. During other
acts the highlight was some good comped Smirnoff which
audience "hostages" with credentials guzzled out of boredom.

From what I was told it was Diana Ross herself who ordered that no
live pictures of her be shown on the screens. As a result, the
audience in the back chose not to stare at a still photo and walked
to the front to stand and get a better view. This blocked the already
poor view of those seated farther front who then had to stand as well.

Ironically, shows are meant to lure those who then might drop some
cash in the casino afterwards. This show was so dull nobody was in
the mood for any action but coffee at the Grand Lux afterwards.

The event wasn't a total loss. As Ms. Craps reported the Palazzo
itself is stunning. And I had a royal in hearts as a welcome gift
which I'll post shortly.
