And if you don't have your SS# on your DL, or show your SS card, they will
have you sign a W-9 form, on which you confirm your SS# to be correct under
penalty of perjury.

Some casinos just do this once each year, and keep the form on file. Others
do it each day you hit a taxable jackpot.

And I was asked for my SS card, just two days ago, after hitting a jackpot.
The floor person said they were supposed to ask.

be fighting a losing battle if they required people to show their SS
cards if they hit a taxable jackpot. They do require a valid photo ID,
and they typically ask for your SS# so they can fill in the W2-G form.
