In general, these days, "discretionary comps" are a thing of the past.
They consider your earned slot club points to be your comp source,
period. The only exception to this might be if you got totally blasted
and didn't earn enough points in the process to get anything worth
while---THEN the host, MAYBE, might comp you to a meal or two. Maybe.
The above doesn't apply if you're one of those worthless scumbags that
only plays decent VP machines. Then, you will NEVER get ANY
discretionary comps, and will (at most places) earn slot club points
at the rate of about three cents worth of comps for every $1 trillion
coin-in.
The only comp value nowadays is in bounceback coupons, and the
occasional decent promo. It's become a tough ol' world out there.
