"At Sam's Town, on the other hand, the machines were pumping away,
giving the Boyd Group all those quarters that the Stations apparently
didn't want. "
............
ST finally got wise and switched all the slot attendants radios to a newer
quieter kind so customers won't get frightened when they walk by. The pumping
machines are the ones oil was discovered underneath.
............
"Greed certainly does strange things to casino operators.
Correct me, but what part of LOCALS doesn't the Stations get?"
............
I'll correct you. Boulder Station is always packed on gift day. Today is
Brunhilda helmet day. The place will be packed. About the missing machines, both
gaming and the Clark County Fire Dept ordered Boulder to clear up some room
as the casino was way over fire code in occupancy. They decided to remove
most of the FPDW and leave many of the Guaranteed Play machines scattered
throughout the place. Yes the NSU is now ugly ducks but... the Charlie's Boulder
ploopie dollar players who fled to Boulder when Charlie's went to the "Don't
ask won't tell" point system don't know the difference.
HTH,
Drain
