I want to second these comments. The OP seems hesitant to tip but Vegas can be an amazing town, $5 at a time :-). Since moving here I *always* carry a stack of $5 bills with me. It's amazing what $5 and a smile gets you in this town. You go from "No!" to "right this way Sir!" in no time.
Alan,
Like most things in Las Vegas, the amount you tip will determine how much you can break the rules. If you have 2 extra people going to hotels on the way and ask the driver "Could you take my friends to hotel x and hotel y? " ( and you have at least $40 in your hand), you might be okay, especially if the driver isn't in a time crunch for his next appointment. My guess is that if you are worried about a $15 tip for a limo driver, this option won't appeal to you.
Go to valet at Flamingo and say " I have to run into the casino for 5 minutes, can you keep my car up front?" Just ask and the answer is no. Ask with a $5 in your hand and the answer is okay, but 5 minutes only, then I move it. Ask with a $20 in your hand and your car can stay there for an hour.
It's a money town. The more green, the more you can bend the rules.
