Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. If I'm ever going to learn how better to serve the needs of non-pros, it's posts like yours that I need file away in the old noggin. This brought up something I've been meaning to say for a while:
I don't really expect, even for a second, to convert anyone over to how I think of things. I just feel it's useful to share my point of view to create a better level of understanding between pros and the recreational gambling community.
20 years ago when I was still running a "real team" many recreational players hated pros, because they thought of them as criminals and low life scum (jealousy may also have played a factor) . Many of the pros despised the recs because they had such contempt for people they perceived as stupid.
The reality is that people do things for very different reasons which neither makes them bad or stupid. It is very often hard for people with different motivations to see it from the perspective of others.
Most of the pros I know are extremely honest hard working people with families to feed. Most of the recreational players I know are in the same category, just not when it comes to gambling, which for them is only a hobby.
It is only just recently that I'm fully realizing how DIFFERENTLY we all think, and how SIMILAR that makes us!
Good luck out there and I hope you have "fun".
