I don't know any pros who want to be down 40,000 coins either. But that's the reality of these progressives, and it's also the reality of video poker, period, no matter what game you're playing. Running good in the short term is statistically insignificant.
Patricia asked a question of Frank. She specifically asked what would be a reasonable bankroll to avoid risk of ruin on one of the "less volatile" games like 6-5 Bonus Poker (96.86%). I tried to suggest that the best way to be prepared mentally for what might happen would be to run some high speed simulations on WinPoker and see what happens. Take it for a test drive. That way there should be no surprises.
