If you stay at Horseshoe, you can choose on of their four partner hotels, since they don't have a hotel. These include, I think, Country Inn and Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and a few others. These are nice hotels, with pools free internet, and next to the casino.
The Diamond Club at Horseshoe is nice but the food wasn't great the one time I was there. The Diamond Club at Harrah's takes up the whole third floor of the boat and is very spacious. Food is the same at both properties.
Harrah's is on a boat; Horseshoe is land based. Horseshoe is very easy to get to off I-80; Harrah's is about 1 mile further on city roads.
The 'Shoe is better in almost every respect, and is right next to the greyhound track. I would recommend it.

I didn't realize that there were two casinos there - Harrah's CB and Horseshoe CB. Since we have never been there, I would appreciate any input as to which one we should choose. Nicer rooms? Better VIP lounges, with better choice of "real" food? Not interested in gourmet restaurants - buffet choices?
