 Subject: [vpFREE] Some AC Tidbits

 Hi Gang:
Hedy and I have finally broken the dreaded VP backslide that is so
inevitable to all of us that partake in this craziness on a regular basis as we
hit a 4K royal for the third week in a row at Harrah's AC this past weekend.
This time it was my turn as I drew the K-J of spades to an A-Q-10 draw and
when added to my 2K hit the day before (aces with a kicker) we wound up
with a substantial profit for our two-day trip. We concluded it by seeing
Chicago (the group, not the play) at Caesars Sunday night and enjoyed the show
very much although it was a bit too LOUD for our tastes, something that
seems to be consistent as we get older!
Some other noteworthy tidbits came out of our trip, too, the most
interesting being that Caesars/Harrah's is seriously considering opening a
casino/resort in Miami within the next two years. This came from a C/H official and
would be a welcome addition to folks like us that enjoy cruising out of
that Florida port on a semi-regular basis.
Also, in keeping with the recent thread about tipping, when the slot person
came by to pay me for my royal, he asked me if I wanted it all in 100's.
This was the 246th royal of our career and, I believe, it's the first time
an attendant has ever asked us how we wanted the money delivered. Usually,
the last hundred is always in 20's with the understanding/hope that the
attendant will get one of those back as a tip In recent years Hedy and I have
decided to give a uniform tip on our handpays. .(We also found out at
Showboat that the 1-for-1 conversion of rewards credits to cash (Mondays in
June) is by invitation only ... and we weren't invited. Darn! Our side trip to
the Boat did prove fruitful, however, when I placed in the Millionaire
Maker slot tournament and won a whopping 100 bucks!
We've begun the countdown to our trip to the Harrah's in Council Bluffs,
Iowa, June 13-15, and look forward to meeting up again with Hedy's niece and
kids, who live in Des Moines.
 Regards,
 CoachVee & Hedy
