It's heartwarming to read all of the stories of winning moments so I'll add
a few of mine:
--Hard Rock housekeeping finding & returning $900 which I'd forgotten to
retrieve from my under my pillow. Tipped $100.
--Turning in to Harvey's security a few hundred dollars in cash left in the
hopper of a machine. It was left unclaimed after 90 days, I became the
owner.
--Getting tipped $100, once at Ramada Express for giving a $125 coupon to a
lady who later hit a big royal & once by a fellow whose machine I watched
while he went to play in a BJ tournament. He won. I was just happy for both
good fortune but it was nice that they shared it.
--In the days of coin droppers, employees would steer me to the "good"
machines, i.e. machines that still had credits on them. I never made a deal
with any of them, they just knew that I tipped well & treated them as equals.
--Peppermill employees calling me in my room around 3 am to come down to
pick something up. It turned out to be a ticket for $700 that I hadn't cashed
out of a machine.
--Finding 3 of my best friends in Laughlin, all of whom have improved my
life in a lot of ways since I was so wet behind the ears when I started
gambling 15 yrs ago.
--Every trip has its "moments" which can be good or bad. You can find a lot
of the good ones if you'll just orient yourself in that direction.
