What I meant was a larger "local" customer base. The future for LV is a
shrinking or stagnant customer base as out-of-towners are siphoned off by
casinos closer to where they live. In LV, the locals casinos can expand the
absolute numbers of customers in their service area when competitors go out of
business & stay out of business. Even so, the total number of locals in
the market will continue to shrink as some customers won't make the trip due
to convenience & others are hammered by the economy. Also, LV will
continue to have a net outflow of residents for a while.

How is Nevada going to create a "larger customer base" with competition in
almost every State? Just about the last major Country without casinos is
Mexico. Maybe a Mag-Lev train from Mexico City?
