AirTran flies directly into Atlantic City. Otherwise, you can fly into Philly and take a one hour limo ride in AC (I assume that your 7* trip will provide a limo).
I this is your first trip I would stay at Caesars. It's the most upscale Harrah's property on the Boardwalk. Harrah's Hotel is also quite nice, but it's not convenient to the rest of AC. If you're staying at Caesars, ask for a corner room in the newly renovated Augustus Tower.
My fave dining options are the Italian restaurant at Showboat, the buffet at Harrah's, the noodle restaurant in the Caesar's casino and the free Seven Star Lounge in the Harrah's high limit slot area.
Hope this helps.
