I still don't understand your infatuation with playing DDB on the
progressive bank at Argosy. I can't honestly say I've verified the pay
table for myself lately, but according to the VP Free Data Base the DDB
game on that bank is 9/6 (99.0%). I thought it was 9/5 last time I
checked, so maybe it's improved? There apparently is some decent DDB
10/6/40 (99.9%) on the first floor, but lacking the progressive.
Can you verify the pay table you are playing at Argosy? If it is indeed
9/6 DDB, why don't you switch over to 9/6 JoB? You will pick up 0.5% in
edge and endure a much lower variance as well. If you insist on playing
an inferior game on the same progressive bank that has a better
offering, it shouldn't be any surprise that eventually over time your
short term wins will be offset by these types of days that will result
in you giving it all back and then some.
If your objective in playing VP at Argosy is to get some short term
"excitement" hitting the big bonus quads, then keep at it. If your
objective is to extract money from Argosy (or at least minimize losses),
then you really need to start playing JoB there.
