I'm trying to keep things in perspective.
For $3 million coin-in, expected loss is equal to the first prize, $25K. So
mathematically, assuming you are SURE to win first prize with that amount of
play (and you are apparently not!), it's break-even, not counting points,
comps, and mailers. Certainly those have some value, but how much compared to
the risk involved in playing $100 machines, or even $100 multiline? First prize
is equal to hitting one "extra" straight flush on a five coin $100 machine,
so what's the big deal? And for anything below first place, it was probably a
negative play.
I know that there are also prizes for the cumulative points earned during
the promo, and those add some value. I just find it a bit odd that anyone would
"cheat" by having many players playing the same card, when the prizes are so
small compared to the "investment.
breaking the rules is something I can't identify with. And even if played
straight, the risk vs. reward doesn't seem to be very favorable. But I rarely
play for more than $50/push, so what do I know?
You can probably tell that I have no "inside" information about this promo.
Looking forward to reading all the wonderful revelations about who did what,
and how long they will be needing the crutches. :-)

VP. That's $1,500 per hand ... and a W2G almost every hand too. That's
only 5,300+ hands to reach 8 million points...quite doable in a single
day for the properly bankrolled player. You would have constant
attention by slot attendants to reset the machines.

actually is.
You can supersession the $100 denom and have a checker behind you. If
properly prepared, it wouldn't take long at all to generate $3M ci.
It was a lot more than two cards with the account in question, and I
got a call from a long way from Vegas about the win, place and show
results.
Maybe Dancer or Jean will scoop me and let you in on what happened
before I do lol.
