I did call the resort (Club du Soleil) directly.  They said they could not transfer me to their security office because no one is there as they are out and about the resort.  I am signed into my Google account on that device, however, it is powered off so the app to locate it can't access it until it's powered up.  Fortunately, I have the power cord for it.  But, of course, someone could easily get another power cord for it.

Apparently, Chargerback.com is a website/provider casinos, resorts, rental car companies, etc. use that is a central database for lost items found at their properties.  There are many resorts in Vegas that use this service.  Again I'm 99% sure that I'm SOL for recovering my tablet but I filed a claim form anyway.  Ugh.
