From how I am understanding this new system, if a Ruby member isn't able to play error-free video poker, the member would actually lose less "per tier point" by playing slots.
And if the Ruby member is able to play perfect error-free video poker, then its a total wash between VP and slots, so if time is of more interest then playing the game the member enjoys playing, Ruby members will earn points faster with the same expected loss "per tier point" playing slots as they would perfect video poker.
With the 2X promo for Ruby members, 20 tier points is $50 through slots, or $1100 through 9/6 jacks.
