I was wondering what happens if we aren't Sapphire on Jan. 1, does that mean we won't get any points on our play until we earn 750 tier points in 2019? If I don't have many points towards the next level, should I not continue to play until next year at Boys?
I also found out the hard way that you must play $5 in on a slot machine before earning a tier point, not 5 points on that machine. I was told at the club that if you had a partial point and only put in $4+ but it registers 5 points from where you started you will not get a tier point and if you pull your card after putting in $4 you can not put in another dollar to get a tier point. For people who like to or want to switch to a different machine they will make Boyd happy that they didn't award you a tier point and you do not get a partial credit.
Playing video poker is even worse since tier points are based on Boyd's theoretical and they don't tell you when you earn a tier point or what the theoretical is so that you can calculate when you have earned a tier point. Also what happens if you change games on a machine, how is the earning of a tier point calculated and is it treated as though you had changed machines?
