I was wondering what happens if we aren't Sapphire on Jan. 1, does that mean we won't get any points on our play until we earn 750 tier points in 2019?
That is correct, your tier points will go to 0, but your status for 2019 will be whatever you achieved.
If I don't have many points towards the next level, should I not continue to play until next year at Boys?
Unless you absolutely love Boyd's, my sincerest suggestion is to not continue to play at all until they improve their system.
I was told at the club that if you had a partial point and only put in $4+ but it registers 5 points from where you started you will not get a tier point and if you pull your card after putting in $4 you can not put in another dollar to get a tier point. For people who like to or want to switch to a different machine they will make Boyd happy that they didn't award you a tier point and you do not get a partial credit.
If fractional credits don't carry over from one machine to the next, then they found a way to make this system even worse.
