I signed up and got the card from Shell in the mail a few days later. Linking it to my Caesars account was easy. Shell keeps encouraging me to link to a MasterCard and other vendors but I have not bothered. Whatever I get is via the Caesars link.
I don't understand exactly how the credits are calculated. I seem to get multiple credits from one day's play with several email notices over time. It may be that when tier bonuses or point multipliers are later added it triggers another event (worth 10 cents a gallon).
In any case, even though my car holds only 10 gallons, I've saved $5 twice on fill-ups at no cost to me. Of the many Shell stations in my area (Baltimore metro) some are only a little more expensive than the cheap options, so with the discount it has been a good deal.
If it hadn't been easy, I wouldn't have bothered, but for what it took to set up it's been a small but nice bonus. If you are a fairly frequent player at Caesars' properties, it will likely be of some use to you.
