By renting you avoid possibly getting long hauled. Two weeks ago, a got in a cab at the HRH near the new suites tower and the cabbie immediately turned right heading toward the strip. I said, "Where are you going", he immediately made a u-turn and it was a quiet rest of ride to the airport.

Vegas rates are VERY low if you are patient and shop around. I have a weekly rental starting this coming Friday Aug 3 for $54 plus taxes.....total $102 via Alamo using codes found on the Las Vegas Advisor message boards!
The last three trips I've actually used price line and have never paid more that $85 TOTAL for my 5 day rentals.
