Great story! Even as a newcomer to video poker it's hard to understand his frustration of losing $400 in that scenario.
I am new to the game but I have done plenty of reading to realize that he should not be upset because he is making a good play but just having bad luck. That being said without knowing exactly how bad his losing streak is it's hard to put myself in his shoes. For that matter even if I know how far he was down I still couldn't put myself in his shoes because I have not experienced a losing streak. I can say that video poker is a much wilder mental ride than playing blackjack however I have run enough simulations to see just how "normal" a streak can be.
