I and several other people have noticed vanishing points while playing or missing multiplier points at some Harrahs/Caesars casinos. New Orleans high roller area seems to often have this problem. A friend recently told me he lost 8000 base points and has waited over a month for them to be reinstated. Some problems occur even if you catch the problem - your trip average may be lower than it should be, resulting in lowered mailers; then when your points do show up you are "tripped" again; and any bonus points you should have gotten may never show up, even if the base points do get credited.
So always put your card in and out several times after you play a couple of thousand base points and make sure points are registered. If not, in New Orleans high roller area check with VIP services to make sure the points are in your account. If you still have points missing, ask to speak to a slot supervisor immediately.
Multiplier coupons may also cause problems. Some people have reported to me that with 5x General Manager coupons at Nola, the bonus points didn't arrive for two or more weeks. Another friend noticed that after a 10x multiplier at a different Harrahs property, bonus points showed up, but were not as much as expected. On checking, they got a "whoops we are so sorry" email, and the missing 18000 (!) bonus points were put on by hand (that is $180 in comps, a pretty large error).
If you are racking up a lot of points in Harrahs, my advice is to write down your tier and comp levels whenever you change machines, and keep track of how many points you expect for a multiplier.
Note, if you are getting a 5x multiplier, you've already been given 1x, so your increased points would be an extra 4x.

I am sure Harrahs isn't the only place where people run into problems with vanishing points, but it sure seems to continue to have a lot of these problems.
