I do know that some people are playing these type games for fun and profit. My buddy Al plays them. As long as it's the type of game I'm thinking of. Don mentioned that the bottom meter maxes at $50. Does it max at $50 and sit there until it gets hit or does it go by $50? That's the question.
The first thing I'm gonna determine is if it's lucky coin bonus system where you don't have to hit a pay, just bet a specific coin number to get the jackpot. If it's not lucky coin them I'm not gonna mes with it. If it IS lucky coin then this is what I'm gonna do:
1. Clock the meter. Is it a quarter percent meter, half percent, one percent?
2. We'll go with half percent for an example. If it's gonna be a play then the amount of money in the meter has to be greater that what I figure my average cost is to spin it off. On these type of plays I figure to get dropped for 20%.
3. Say the meter is on $48. How much action would it take, with a half percent meter, to drive it all the way to $50. $1 is half perent of $200. So it would take $400 in action. Then I'm going to divide that number in half because the lucky coin will be random between $48 and $50. $200 X 20% = $40.
The amount in the meter is greater than my figured cost so I'm going to take the play. If I were in downtown Vegas or Laughlin and they had lots of these type machines I would definitely be making laps around checking and trying to run as much volume as possible. That is, if I figure it's worth my time.
