I used to play quite fast but I have never calculated my HPH. Sometimes people would come up behind me to watch which was very unnerving to me and I would just stop playing until they went away. A few years ago I was playing a $5 BP Spinpoker, I think 5 lines, and got dealt 3 A's. I proceeded to quickly hold the 3 and press draw. I watched in horror as one of the Aces "disappeared" and the 4th came up. I called an attendant and they went in and checked the hand. It clearly showed I did not hold the Ace. I tried to explain that certainly I would have held 3 Aces but they would not budge. Since that very expensive lesson I play much slower now, especially when I am dealt a good hand.
