It's going to take me a couple of days to reply to Tom's post in full.
Let me just say for now that Tom's recollection does not match mine.
Possible Combinations:
1. I am wrong
2. Tom is wrong
3. We are both wrong
I'm certainly not trying to say anyone is lying intentionally. Tom, as far as I know is about the most honest guy on the planet. If he says it, it's because he believes it. I know he's got me by about 15 IQ points, so this really worries me. When people smarter than you, inform you, "you are in error" it is folly to ignore them.
We are talking about events of 20 years ago, and memory is a funny thing over those kinds of time spans, giving rise to expressions like, "to the best of my recollection."
As an example: I remember managing the team for nearly a full year.
I still have the teams paperwork records in storage, I'll get them to help shed light on things and refresh both our memories.
I have been wondering why Tom wasn't talking to me for 20 years. Now I can finally set things straight.
This post makes me very happy. I've been wanting to resolve this for years. I believe Tom knows that. I've asked multiple mutual friends to act as messenger between us, and all I was told was that he didn't want to talk to me.
Please allow 2 days for full reply.
I'm expecting at the end of this we'll be friendly again. I hope I'm right. There are few people I respect as much as Tom. A true deep blue genius if there ever was one.
Sincerely,
Frank Kneeland
