When I last checked the list, it looked like the number of places that could use the TR gift cards is now a lot less, mostly restaurants and spas in Caesars properties. Check before purchasing a card.
Caesar gift shops sell some electronics like iPads and iPhones but at about twice normal cost. Using TR points in a gift shop for these might be just as good as buying a TR card because that also is not at 1:1 for points.
