No, what he said was, "if you like your offers, don't use your card for anything except on days that you would be playing anyway because you're picking up an offer."
Being concerned that your $5000 freeplay offers drop down to $0 because you came in everyday to eat but not play doesn't seem shortsighted to me at all.

Seems to me that there's more than enough shops in town to be able to switch to others temporarily when offers go cold at one. Being worried about what "trips" you sounds rather shortsighted to me.
