Completely independently of my desire to know how fast I'm playing, I
routinely keep track of how long I play and how many points I've
earned, which makes it easy to calculate my speed, which often
surprises me. I think how many cards are held, on average, makes a
big difference. I always play Deuces Wild games much faster than
Jacks or Better games and I think it's because of the greater
frequency of redraws. I play Double Bonus much slower than Double
Double.
