Unless you're getting enough in cash back to overcome the negative EV, your risk of ruin is 100%. You just have to play long enough to lose it all. If you bring other people into your combine to play a negative EV game, as a group you will lose everything. Also, if you combine your money how can it still be your money and their money? I've never lost when playing from a common pool, but everyone has to keep playing. Nobody gets to run out of money and take it easy profiting from the play of others.
