Re: [vpFREE] Flights from Los Angeles to Las Vegas?

Spirit maybe a better airline on the west coast then it is in the east but
as of earlier this week they charge for each and every item , service and
amenity imaginable.

The airline claims that its pricing structure is customer friendly as not
everybody has a carry on bag or luggage or the need for a comfortable seat,
etcetera.

These items and more must, of course, be purchased and increase the price
of the ticket that is advertised, as being very low, but these costs add
up very quickly and steeply. Passengers are enouraged to prepay all such
charges as each of them costs significantly more at the airport. Too bad if
you prepay for two bags and show up with only one...no refunds. Spirit is
also totally unforgiving if you are unable to board the exact flight for
which you have previously paid. No refunds, no credits, no extenuating
circumstances.

Spirit president Ben Baldanza made himself eternally famous by hitting the
"reply all" button while instructing an employee to write a "get lost"
letter to unhappy customers after describing the customer in ribald
terms. The customers shared the snarky letter with the press.

His recent exploits included overcharging returning military for carrying
their duffels. Want more? Google it ... Lots of things that would be funny
if they weren't so sad.
