Yes you have to purchase it separately for both devices. It's $9.99 for iPad and I think 3 or 4 dollars for the iPhone. Therefore I have only purchased it for iPhone so far. There is another one called Video Poker (with a red icon) which I s cheaper ( I think $4.99 for iPad) but you have to earn points to unlock features such as a random shuffle enfine(the default makes u win a lot, I hit a RF in my first hour I knew something was wrong) also you need points to unlock the "advice " mode.

Interestingly, I have compared several borderline hands with the two apps and they both have given different results. I think I trust win pokers answer more, since they have a reputation of a while.
