I was at the Palms last Thursday. My friend was a new sign-up for the players club. The deal was that within 24 hours, any losses up to $500 would be rebated at about 25-30%. Playing full pay not so ugly deuces (near the club desk) at 50-cents, he lost about $200, and got $50 free play rebate. He can get additional rebate if he returns within 6 months, and more still if he then returns within a year.

We went to the buffet that evening, and I got my first-ever senior discount. It was a Thursday-only promotion, with movie & buffet discount, small prize give-a-way, etc, for anyone over 50.
