$2 tip is going to get you a long wait at a busy joint. If Im at the Hilton, MGM or Bellagio Id rather get my car ahead of the other 15 people waiting. My time is worth more than $2 every half an hour. If you're at a small joint with very few cars in the valet then sure. $20 has had my car parked in the very front near the door and sometimes that's just plain nice to walk out from a nice dinner and not have to wait.
