Even in the 80s, I always tipped at least a few bucks.
And if I was hoping for special treatment, I'd tip as much as $20 on the way in.
They could see I wasn't a 'high roller', but rather was trying to be nice, have
fun and get great service.
It always works for me.
The rest of the Valets find out very soon that you are a) nice and b)
generous and go out of their way for you.
I really don't calc my tips against me Ev.
