Recent HRH casino downgrading isn't surprising. Up until a month ago Joe Magliarditi and his travelling Casino Manager Richard Strafella were in charge, but only briefly. If you remember, within the past year or so, the HRH GM killed himself and these guys came over from the M in a big industry announcement.
The M's always been a decent place for players--but not all players. Joe Mag & Strafella opened the M after a stint at the helm of the Colorado Belle & Edgewater in Laughlin--two of the best places for lower limit to play in that town.
But, I happen to agree with Valerie on how locals should be more concerned with what's going on in their casinos rather than complaining about what the touristy joints do. The Hard Rock is still reeling from all the $$$ spent on its expansion, and now they appear to be struggling even more. I know John Krauskoph too. He bailed ship when the Palms wasn't doing well and unless those type jobs are hard to come by these days, he won't stay on the HRH either.

I don't know if Frank was talking to a cocktail waitress, but I'm sure they're hurting bad. Shout out to Marci and Windy! The last time I was there in April, there were very few people in the casino.
