You can get 9/6 JOB in $5+ single line at a few machines in HL and outside, BUT YOU GET NO POINTS FOR PLAY. There is a placard on those machines now (gold rectangle with black letters) stating this. In addition, I believe you cannot redeem freeplay on those machines. However, play on the 9/6 is still tracked for ADT and mailers, etc.
There are several single line games @ $5+ offering 8/5 BP and 9/7/5 DB that do give points. There are no multi-line games with even these paytables, except Spin Poker. Otherwise even the BP is 7/5 @ multi-line $5+ and I think even games like DDB are out at 9/5, but I didn't even look for that.
Explanation given was that they got burned badly by certain players hammering the multi-line high-$ JOB that turned positive with promotions, or at least failed to generate sufficient ADT to pay for the value placed on the amenities offered to such players. If they're going to put a $1000-$2000 internal value on a room-night for those players, that might cause a problem.
