Hi Gang:
Just wanted to answer a few queries/comments about our recent post about our trip to Harrah's Rincon.
1) No I don't know too much about the whereabouts of Dream Card machines in Atlantic City. I do know that Harrah's AC had two machines not too long ago but took them out. Can't understand why; the pay tables were abysmal. Someone did post about a couple at Showboat but said the pay tables were bad as well. The worst thing about Dream Card is that you are wagering 10 coins per hand so you better make some big hits quickly or you can kiss your money goodbye.
2) No, I'm not coaching anymore. I had a long run of coaching basketball at the CYO and high school levels but after Hedy and I retired in 2004 I couldn't make the commitment anymore. We travel so much now it would be impossible for me to stay involved. I go to HS games once in awhile locally, mostly to catch up with old friends and former colleagues. My favorite sports teams? Pretty much the Mets, Jets and Knicks. I love to watch college hoops as well, but the Mets are my passion during baseball season. Please pray for me ... and them!!
3) Our hot streak stayed intact this past weekend at Harrah's. Not a big win, but a win nonetheless. Aces with a kicker for 2G on Friday carried us for the weekend. Got to meet Rusty Nash and his wife Kathy and we enjoyed chatting with them over a meal at the Seven Stars Lounge at Harrah's AC.
